Maintenance
Maintenance allows you to schedule a variety of maintenance task alerts for the equipment your devices are installed in, from Oil Changes to Air Filters, and anything else you might want to track. To view Completed Maintenance, you will need to view the Maintenance Report.
Maintenance will need to be enabled to be seen - see Show / Hide User Features for how to enable this feature.
Once enabled, to access Maintenance select the icon on the menu to the left side of the screen:
This will open the Maintenance menu. In this menu you can Add new tasks and their alerts, Complete Maintenance Required alerts, and add additional Complete tasks.
Add New Tasks
1) Add New will add new Maintenance Tasks for the system to track. You will either select from existing Tasks such as Oil Change or Cabin Filter, or you can add your own Tasks by opening the drop down menu, typing the name of the Task, and clicking + Add Task.
2) Next, you will select when you want the Maintenance Task alert to trigger. You can select from Miles (miles driven), Hours (hours of operation, must have ignition events to track), and Specific Date (Alerts on a specific date). One of these must be used to trigger the alert, however any combination can used together.
Miles alert according to how many miles have been travelled by the device.
Hours alert based on how many hours the device has detected the ignition on - please note this will not work with devices that do not detect ignition events such as the GL300 and GL500 Portable devices.
Specific Date alerts on a specific, non-repeating date.
Miles and Hours both offer an Offset, which allows you to offset how soon the 1st Maintenance Task alert will trigger. For example, if you want to schedule an Oil Change every 3000 miles, and when you create the alert the vehicle will be due for an Oil Change in the next 500 miles, you would put 3000 in Miles, and 2500 in Offset, so the 1st alert will trigger in 500 Miles, and every alert after will alert every 3000 miles.
3) Select the Device or Devices that you wish to apply the Maintenance Task to.
4) Select any Tags you wish to apply the Maintenance Task to.
5) Add Text or Email alerts. Add phone numbers or email addresses to get notifications of Maintenance Task alerts. Without phone numbers or email addresses, the Maintenance Task alert will only show in the Maintenance Required Menu
Complete Maintenance Required
When Maintenance Task alerts are triggered, they will appear in the Maintenance Required Menu:
Click the button under Status to mark the Task completed. You will be able to mark when it was completed, the odometer reading, how many labor hours it took, the cost, and attach any documents such as receipts or pictures. When done, select Complete.
Add Complete Tasks
If you wish to document the completion of a task that was not scheduled or did not have an alert generate, You can do that by selecting Add Completed Task.
This will allow you to fill out a form to document a completed task done which will show in the Maintenance Report.
