How To Download Video
This article will show you how you can download a video from your Dash Camera directly from the map.
Note: Downloading video uses the available stream time on the camera, meaning downloading a 10 minute section of recorded video from the front channel will use 10 minutes of your available stream time for the month.
Additional stream time can be purchased for $12.00 per hour, or stream time can be moved between devices if needed, contact Support for assistance.
To download video from your camera, go to map20.mastrack.com.
Select Devices, then select the Device you wish to download the video from.
Click Timeline, then select the date you wish to download the video from, and hit Update.
Turn on "Extra Points" at the bottom center of your map.
Find the point you want the video to start from, and click on it, then click "Download Video":
A confirmation menu will appear asking if you want to download the video, stream the video, or cancel. To download the video click "Yes, Download the Video":
In the menu that opens you will set which video channel(s) you wish to download, how much time before and after the selected point you wish to download, and what resolution you wish to download the video in.
Once you have selected your desired settings and how much time before and after the selected point you wish to download, click Create.
Note: Stream time used for the download is per channel, meaning a 10 minute recording from channel 1 & 2 (front and driver) would use 20 minutes of stream time.
Note: Higher resolution video downloads will take longer to complete and will have much larger file sizes.
After you hit create, you will see a prompt explaining the rest of the download process. It may take several minutes for the download to be ready depending on how much video was requested, the resolution requested, and the cellular data strength where the camera is location.
Once it is complete it will be available on the tracking point by clicking "Download video" again. When ready clicking this will automatically prompt you to save the file.
It will also be available in your Reports by selecting "video" in the Report Type, selecting the device you downloaded from in Devices, and the date you downloaded the file on.
